How I translate the text: I translate the text using an online tool. Then I change the resul a bit. Then I translate the text back into the language that I have just translated from. This process shows where the translation tool is wrong. Then I am trying to guess whether the translation is right or not. If I can't guess, I Google the result and see how many people using the phrase that I have my doubts about. As you can see a lot of translations on this wiki are wrong. I need you to help me to make a good translation! Do you do it any other way? Please tell me your way! It helps if you know both languages! If you don't know them, then you have to use dictionaries and ask the educated native speakers about the correct translation. Most of all you need to learn this language! Some on-line dictionaries, such as Google Translate, give a few words for frustration. They even try to explain the meaning. Have a look at my favourite Dic.Academic.ru. Click переводы (translations). How do you choose the right word? Worldlingo translate the word as фрустрация. Microsoft Translator Bing doesn't translate the word frustration at all; it tells you honestly that Automatic translation can help you understand the gist of the translated text, but is no substitute for a professional human translator. Microsoft has a very good reason not to translate this word at all. There was no word for frustration in Russian when I was growing up there, but maybe Worldlingo is right, maybe a few people know this word now. Good news, better than a computer! You have got your senses, your feelings and mind: use them, but be warned, in Russian your thoughts and feelings may turn out to be different! They can help us to send people into space, but they can't correctly translate. Even today, most translations are still done by humans, who use computers to help do the word processing and search through a dictionary and thesaurus. Once in the 1990s I tried to explain the feeling of frustration to my Russian friends for half an hour and all in vain. There was a full bottle of vodka and an empty glass on the table in front of us. So I asked my friend’s husband to empty the whole bottle into the small glass. He told me that he was not able to do it: the glass was too little. I explained to him that it was not the point. The point was that he must want to empty the bottle into the glass; then, the mere fact that he was not able to do this, will give him that feeling of frustration. All of my friends were amazed.
