WikiTranslate is a free content encyclopedia translation project that can help you to learn new language and teach your language. It is multilingual and web-based, based on an openly-editable model similar to Wikipedia. Anyone with Internet access can write and make changes to WikiTranslate.org articles (except in certain cases where editing is restricted to prevent disruption and/or vandalism). Users can contribute under a pseudonym or with their real identity, if they choose. Users only need to register on the project in order to make changes. Users need not worry about accidentally damaging WikiTranslate.org when adding or improving information, as other editors are always around to advise or correct obvious errors, and WikiTranslate.org's software is carefully designed to allow easy reversal of editorial mistakes. Content of WikiTranslate is written collaboratively by largely anonymous Internet volunteers who write without pay. All the changes made by these volunteers in any article in this encyclopedia are immediately visible to all visitors to the site. Children can absorb new languages well and WikiTranslate aims to help them. WikiTranslate is a safe family site, which is suitable for young children. If you believe a page does not meet these requirements, click on Report abuse link that is on the top right hand corner of every page, so this page can be deleted. What is the purpose of this site? The purpose of this site is to help anyone to learn new language, teach their language and to develop their translation skills. The users of the site can contribute to the translation of their favourite songs, fairy-tales, children's books, prayers, etc., which are not protected by copyright, or have been submitted to the site by their copyright holders. The students who are native in the source language of the text, can work together more effectively with the students who are native in the target language of the text. All students are encouraged to use translation tools, but most of all, they are encouraged to seek help from each other. Why is this site needed?Although translation programmes can be very helpful with the translation of the texts, the machine translated sentences are very unnatural and they have to be changed manually. This site is made to enable students who are native in the language of the original text, to discuss the translation with students who are native in the target language of the text. This way they can help themselves to improve their knowledge of each other's languages. WikiTranslate trademark® Registered trademark |
